Okay, so Poland wasn't in the Soviet Union, but he was in the sphere of influence I believe, and his history with Liet make them irrseperatble. So yeah, Soviet enough. Everyone else was, so Poland's totally fine squeezing in
Anyways, this is my entry for 's October contest. What is more October than Halloween? I always think of Randi's Halloween parties when I think of October, so that acted as some type of inspiration. Also, for Russia, his outfit looks like that because I drew this before the image with Russia's and China's costumes.

I meant to make it look like a pathetic zombie costume, but it ended up just looking like normal clothes

One major flaw I see in this is that Russia's hands are opposite of what they should be. Try doing that action with your own hands and see where your thumbs are. Sometimes using yourself as a model will help your drawings amazingly.

But I do use myself as a model quite often. This picture was just a stupid mistake as I was rushing to submit it before the end date of the contest. I love it when I start making weird poses in the middle class and someone comes up to me and I'm just all "Back off, freak!" XD

No problem ^^ we all do it as we progress with our drawing. Although yea, modeling for yourself doesn't always work but it does sometimes.
sfbhfbf drawing in class is always fun XDDD I used to ask people to sit a certain way and they would always look at me weird because I'm using them as reference

Well, if you model yourself completely then you're just doing a self portrait almost, but referencing to your body really helps a lot. Just memorizing the parts of the body in proportion to the other parts of the body is quite helpful as well.
I do that to my little sister. And then my mother will walk in and I'm just like "SHUT UP!! I'M TRYING TO DRAW!!" XD
