This is one of my latest kaiju. It is also one of the few kaiju I made that goes into the ninjasaurus category. Most of my other kaiju are bulky or have more "modern" types (a mixture of ninjasaurus/retro ideas).Anyway, this guy, who is currently nameless, is suppose to be the third team member of a group of kaiju I am calling the Behemoth Taskforce. You have met two already, Ladon and Deidra. This guy provides more a comic relief type of character, and has similar way to stir up foes which is similar to the way Spiderman tends to get under a foe's skin.
However, he's far from a push-over. He's a intelligent fighter, who had been trained in all forms of martial arts since his creation, and that long ass tail serves as a perfect balancing tool. He's able to withstand convential weapons, but is more vulenable to injury than most kaiju. Thankfully, he does have a strong regeneration, so he doesn't have to be completely bed ridden during a fight.
Power-wise, besides a healing ability, I'm not sure. Either a multi-elemental spit (flame/ice/electric) or just sticky ass snot from his mouth.

I think he's a pretty cool little critter. Since the snot shot has been decided on, I don't have much to add besides the fact I love the little cocky grin he's got going. Wherever this design goes, keep that at least.

Also, I love the idea. He needs more time on the concept floor before putting him into the canon, but that's what we're all here for right?
I'd look into other lizard traits, maybe basilisk speed and feet, or tail launching and regrowth as a last resort.

He might have alot of those abilities, especially the tail thing. As I told Ren, I might give him some chameleon traits.

Concept wise, he's pretty interesting. I'd go with the snot shot as its more unique. Design wise it is very 'meh'. Hardly anything stands apart from the archetype so it could use more species specific features from whatever made him.

Yeah, I agree on the design. I admit, he needs more oof to it. how does this sound, maybe he be a hybrid of chameleon, anole, and a iguana (probably green iguana (which explains the tail). The chameleon traits would probably be the crests and horns (which also will give it a qusa-ceratopian look), some features of the anole (probablya drewlap which is colored red), and the spikes/tail of the green iguana. Also, since it is part chameleon and anole, it can have the ability to change it's skin color (both base on enviroment and emotions), and even go invisible (for a short time), which would work good with the whole ninjasaur idea for this guy.
Also, about the name, something that sounds reptilian, but gives off a martial artist's type of feel.
So, how do these sound to you, Ren? Good or bad? I like some ideas, which I think I could work out perfectly.

Chameleons are rather rare among kaiju. Only Barugon being something of a canon example of the body type. I've only seen one original kaiju with an out right Chameleon motif so you're in the ball part with that idea. Mixing it with other reptile parts to make more mobile and Showa-y is probably your best bet. I reccomend the large compound eyes as they'd make him stick out from the rest.
As for a name...something along the lines of 'Shangnulon' sounds about right. No idea what it means but it sounds fittingly reptile kaiju like and has asian twang to it.

what do you mean by compound eyes? Do you mean the eyes I have on him now or chameleon-style eye (telescopic, I guess is the term)?
