Description This is actually a practice piece for my Materials and Techniques class, but I really enjoyed how it came out. It isn't finished yet but the next steps are ones that could go horribly wrong so I wanted to make sure I had a digital copy of it while it still looks nice

I actually feel I create cuter characters when I don't plan anything at all. I don't even think I sketched this first. Of course, sometimes you create a hideous monster. But that can be nice in its own right...

I am in a sea creature mood lately

Watercolor, Dr. Martin dyes, pen & ink, salt, and rubber cement.

I like sea creatures because they are so different and unknown to the rest of us. I love the colors and would like to see the finished product!

The salt really has a nice effect on it. I like working with salt and water colors, but it only looks good for certain pictures.

Net time You should include little turtle babies in a piece that has sea creatures!
