As much as I have to give you praise for your artwork on this...
If Gandalf was actually going to have tea with someone like Albus Dumbledore, he would be planning something, something that Albus Dumbledore won't find too ideal but would have to go along with it.
But to be completely honest with you, if Albus Dumbledore is the Ultimate Imitator to anyone, its Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars albeit for different reasons as those two share "a lot" in common for different reasons, Gandalf on the other hand has a True Rival & Ultimate Imitator elsewhere since August of 1987, and his name is Elminster Aumar from the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, still remains that way to this day even as I speak of it (no joke).

This is most excellent!! Gandalf and Albus Dumbledore engaged in a game of Wizard's chess! Question is... who won?

Gandalf and Dumbledore fighting? Nonsense! They go out for a couple of cold ones and talk shop together over the chessboard.

What's not to love about this is that it's actually a huge mismatch, Harry Potter is way too different from The Lord of The Rings and thus shouldn't' be allowed to touch it.
But if Gandalf is the Ultimate Imitator & True Rival to someone, it in fact (believe it or not) is Elminster Aumar from Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting and trust me on this, Gandalf & Elmninster Aumar had this going since August of 1987 and still do to this day, need to know more about Elminster Aumar? Look him up as seen here: forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki…
To simply put, what's not to love is that the idea of Gandalf vs Albus Dumbledore is nothing more and nothing less but a stolen rivalry.

Very True! I wonder if they just let it stop at a draw or take turns on who wins.

It's great. Brilliant idea, beautifully done. Great details.
That remembers me about a scene from Chamber of Secrets when a portrait of Gandalf is visible among other paintings in Dumbledore's office.
