Lovely art. Hope you don't mind but i came up with a short story for this. Have fun reading everyone!
"Now why on Earth would a fuzzball like you be out in a storm like this? In the middle of the night no less?"
"Shut up you idiot. I've got places to be."
Sonic raised an eyebrow, narrowing his green eyes.
"Oh yeah? And where might that be?"
"That's none of your business!" Shadow growled.
"Is it now?"
Something changed then in Sonic's eyes then. He stepped forward, one of his gloved hands coming up to fist in Shadow's scarf. He tugged on it slightly, bringing their faces closer together.
"Haven't you learned anything yet? I said I'd always have your back didn't I?"
Shadow said nothing. Despite the deepening snow, his face was suddenly flushed with heat. Dammit Sonic.
"You don't always have to go it alone, you know. Let me help you."
There was a pause before Sherlock answered him.
"There's no talking you out of this, is there?"
"Nope.~"
Shadow rolled his eyes.Β
"Fine," he grumbled. "You can come. But you have to do exactly as I say, when I say. And I swear to God, Sonic- DON'T blame me if you do something stupid and get yourself shot! I'm not carrying you out on my back like last time."
Without warning, Sonic stepped forward and hugged him. Shadow froze, feeling a sudden warmth as Sonic's chest was pressed against his own. His heart suddenly sounded too loud in his ears, and over this and the howling storm he almost missed Sonic's reply.
"Thank you."
