Description Because it has been too long since I draw them... My OCs Nathanael and Elizabeth des Tournelles.

Such lovely colors and light in this! Waah! When in thumbnail the picture looks so real, especially Elizabeth's skirt and the floor/curtain. And I really like how Nathanael came out here. Handsome devil hehe!
You did a great job imitating the original painting but still doing your own thing with it!

Thanks so much dear! I was so pleased to be able to draw them again, and I recognized them in the scene of the original painting A lot of stories and secrets under this simple scene!
Thanks for the kind comment!

I googled the picture but I don't know the story of it, or so much about Nathanael and Elizabeth either. I'm curious about those stories and secrets hidden in this pic/situation now!

Well, apparently the story behind the original painting is that the Young man tries to pick the rose and the Young lady tries to prevent him to do so. It is supposed to be a poetic representation of rape (yeah for 18th centuries paintings!). (if you manage to traduce this page: artifexinopere.com/?p=2525)

In my story, Nathanaël and his sister Elizabeth were separated while she was very Young and sent to a covent for her education. During this time, Nathanaël grows up in the castle of a Vicomte who loves to educate young boys...
When the brother and sisters meet again years later, as adults, Nathanaël becomes very found of her. So far he only lived with boys and men, and Elizabeth became a very beautiful and accomplished woman. She is very close to him as she had rough years during their separation, but she progressivly senses that there's more from him than juste a brother-love...

Yay! It's great to see these two again! I recognised the painting as soon as I saw this- I love the lighting here and the classical poses and shading is spot on!

Yeah, I wanted to draw them again for quite a long time now, but I had'nt find the time to do it... I'm glad that the lighting pleases you, it was an addition of the last minute ^^
