If you ignore her brainwashing children-cadets into soldiers in the terrible Civil War comic (because Marvel try to conflate welfare and anti-police brutality law as some sort of evil government oppression), and being the villain in Civil War II (the comic).

I mean everything after Carol Danvers become Captain Marvel. With Brie Larson I don't have any problema, in fact I don't know much about her, but recent things I learned from her, make me less interested in know something about her.
The suit is fine, although that mask/helmet she sometimes uses is horrible, owrse with that part of her hair that is outside the mask/helmet.
Kamala is for me a irrelevant character, one of those characters created just for make children and teenagers close to the comics, nothing else.

Actually, she had been "corrupted" back if you mean by her new costume, in 2012.
And she did became "powerful" in X-Men Run as Binary.
Though in my opinion, they should have this suit....and playing on how awful it is (like Carol complaining about suit pinches, crotch irritation, and generic jokes about reality of stripper suit).
I think first issue of Ms. Marvel, the Kamala one, did that.

Captain Marvel as Binary was alright and acted like a real strong female hero. After Mar-Veil's death and Carol taking up the mantle, it all started going downhill with terrible writing and one-dimensional characterizations in 2012. Don't get me wrong, I like Carol's new suit but I just hate how the new writers are handling her that makes me lose interest.
Honestly, the way Brie Larson portrayed Captain Marvel was awful and the writing was just as bad in the film and reflected the direction the Marvel Comic Universe is heading with its "Get Woke; Go Broke" direction.

Edit: Also Chris Claremont, the writer, himself was a feminist (the equality variety, what you mention is the second-wave that is no longer mainstream and quite hostile to transgenders)....albeit with a fetish for bondage and bisexuality.

Why would I watch a film where the main actress is racist towards whites and is sexist towards men? Trailers are part of the movie so yeah it counts. Hostile to transgender? Transgender is a mental condition called gender dysphoria. It's a real medical condition and should be treated. Fetish for bondage and bisexuality? Incorrect. Talked with friends who have watched it and they have spot feminist themes. One was sending Nick Fury away to do dishes while only women talked. Another was the line "it's called the cockpit for a reason" as well as other nonexistent feminist nonsense from the '80s and '90s. Not to mention that there was no struggle for Carol to overcome. She got her powers and knew how to use them perfectly.
