Thank you
Iβm not sure but I think that this is a juvenile red tail
I know that dA does list the exposure data but Iβve tried to include all of the additional data that people have asked for and I Like to keep the data for myself. Iβve also noticed that some of the data that dA shows is different than the data that I see when I access the meta data on the image (check the shutter speed on this image) and for some reason the exposure data is not always shown if I do post processing on the image.

Thank you Tonny
I like this one too. I was lucky that the bird let me get so close and didnβt seem to mind being photographed. I was especially lucky because my camera was having focusing issues due to a failing circuit board so only a small percentage of my shots were in focus

I am not sure how common this issue is with the Canon 1D MK III but here is my experience with it [link] it was in the Canon repair facility [link] and hopefully fixed. I donβt know if I would have even noticed it if not for the fact that long range telephoto photography tends to show any focusing problems to good effect. Any image that filled the frame looked great but when I cropped down the issue was obvious.

Oh I see,......never heard about that before John. I just plan to buy one (1D MK-III), or maybe I better buy Canon 5D MK-II, what do you think ?

Well, when it's working properly the 1D MK III is a joy but if I was looking for a new camera today I would look very closely at the 5D MK II. Maybe a few less features but a better image at a lower price. I have not done a detailed comparision but the new 5D MK II seems the better deal.

Awesome shot! Very nice wing angles. The sunlight showing the stripes is just a cool effect!

Great capture, not sure what it is but wonder if it might be a juvenile Red Tailed Hawk.
