Now that I think about the whole comic, it appears a bit too cheesy for the greens to be behaving like this. Then again I do support the more smarter version of Butch, where he is not all barbarian playing "crash and smash".
Also, I know the years in my signature are different, I just finished page 5 last, because I had no idea what to write there 2 years ago.
Anyway, I hope you like the short story. Sorry about its huge delay. xD

waaaah actually there were a few more things that I've noticed after looking at the page more so I guess I'll just do that now //LAUGHS
the picture where Butch looks really beat up, it kind of looks like he's hiding his left arm behind his back (and it looks pretty scratched up too). is he doing that to hide it from Buttercup so she won't worry? hahaha lkasfjdjlkasf
and it's also his revived!hairstyle aaaaaaa
I also love how the transitioning panels and hearts are the standard PpG colors
at first I didn't think that was intentional, but then I saw the 3 hearts and I just thought it HAD to be BWAHAHAH

Butch's revived! hairstyle comes after a battle actually, in which the school is under attack by a monster and the RRBs help the girls fight it off. He uses a new technique which severs his left hand (but it heals afterwards) and trashes his hairstyle. The technique finishes off the monster completely and after that Butch gains Buttercups respect (that's why he is pointing at himself grinning as in a way saying "See, I told you I'm tough").
The background colors in transitioning panels indeed serve a purpose and it is to intensify the emotion going through Buttercup.

Yess, Butch's hairstyle varies here. It was originally on a ponytail before a certain fight which caused his hair to spike upward.
