Jamie has been seen a few times. He was the inn keeper that Modest and Marah stayed with the first night they came to Yeld, and his sister Michelle is the woman who too Modest's DS and later showed us in a disguise at the castle to help Modest's sisters escape. We'll learn what Jamie is doing here in the next few strips.

Question - how many meduas are living on the ranch-place? I thought it was dozens if not more. Are these just the special memorable bunch? xD

We saw dozens of little Medusas at the end of Season 2 in the Gorgon's cave, but actually, only 7 Medusa sisters escaped the castle. Modest went home with Jake, while Glados, Xbox, Hole, Shut Up and Science went with Michelle (the bearded lady) and the Chainsaw Unicorn to the farm. They've been living there for about a year. Raccoon was separated from her sisters as they left the castle but found by pirates. Unfortunately the rest of Modest's living sisters are still with their mother in the castle.

It's totally possible. It's also very likely that consuming her kids is not something she does very often.
