Far out! a YES cover!

JakobHansson In reply to eurotrash1975 [2012-12-04 15:59:26 +0000 UTC]

Exactly! I was told several times my style is close to Rodney Matthews (The Yes artist) so I thought it could be fun to make a slight homage ;0)

minder forresten ogsΓ₯ om Thierry SΓ©gur, tegneren bag det sΓ¦rt lummert-troskyldige fantasyvΓ¦rk "LΓ©gendes des ContrΓ©es OubliΓ©es" (dansk: "DvΓ¦rgenes Konge". Stor fan her). Se selv: [link]

This is really nice. There are so many ways of interpreting this wonderful piece, and even though the title in this case provides a nudge in one direction there's still so much to look at and ponder over. Really nice, Jakob

JakobHansson In reply to Patriartis [2012-12-03 13:25:43 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, much appreciated! Actually the title comes from there being a fish at one point in the painting, but I deleted it again....but it might mean something different to other people ;0)

Wow, I would have sworn this was a traditional painting if it weren't for the category listed below It does have that eerie traditional surrealism style to it. Looks like this place is built upon the remains of some ancient colossal beast

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JakobHansson In reply to Chromattix [2012-12-02 20:55:41 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much. I have a background in traditional painting, so I guess that is why my style looks like that. :0)

I like how it takes me a while to realize there is a kid looking at it from inside a building. It makes me wonder how much of this strange thing was man made, and how much was there already. The spikes in the middle make it look like a long tail.
