Description The idea for this comic comes from my own knowledge of how the DS game ’The World Ends With You’ got it’s name and witnessing first-hand how parents react to cover-art and names over the age-ratings.

When you see a parent say their child can’t have one game because it ’looks’ abit too violent, but then let the child get a game you know to be extremely violent, just because it’s name, or cover-art, gave no clue to what the game was like.

Ugh, I feel you. Honestly, I don't think there's any harm in allowing a child to be exposed a bit to mature/violent games. As a kid I was exposed to (and subsequently traumatized by) some sort of M rated game (think it was Resident Evil or Devil May Cry?) and I'm fine... mostly... XD A little fear is good, it builds character and prepares kids for the real world.

The Watershipped Down is a great example of this! My mom kind of gave me a weird look when I was trying to find this game. She thought it would be extemely violent or something, but because it was my money, she let me buy it.

The only "bad" things were Neku's and Beat's mouths and Josh shooting Neku in the face....

So yep, hardly anything!

I'm glad my parents are more intelligent than that lady seems to be... The World Ends With You is awesome, people just need to learn to not judge a book by it's cover.

Seen a 9 year old walk into Gamestop with both of his parents talking about paying off his Modern Warfare 2, back when. They were well dressed, too, at least the dad was, if i remember correctly.

Once had a 5 year old on my team in World At War.

Also, i started playing that game a way back, like, in January. I stopped for some reason. When i picked it back up a couple weeks ago i thought i was good at it, until i ran into my first actual mission.

Darn.

Really? Hm, now I must investigate this game... For some reason I always associated it with Kingdom Hearts which is fine 'cause I love Kingdom Hearts. Also, nice homestuck avvie. ^_^

Lol, it's pretty much all 'magic'-using once you get some decent pins. At worst Neku says "hell" like. Once. Which is pretty tame.

Haters gon' hate.
