Nothing special this week, folks; when I haven’t been getting ready for this day at work, I’ve been getting ready for visiting family. So it’s just a picture of my ancient cat, Clair, during one of her more peaceful moments, one of those rare times when she’s not staring at the other cats or Abby and wishing them ill. Never was a cheerful one, my Clair, and age has not made her any more friendly to her four-legged housemates. I get along with her alright, most likely because we have the same
-ish temperament.Are you complaining? Hey, last week you got a picture of my redheaded bombshell topless, so do like the holiday says and give thanks for what you’ve got.
We’ll see if I take a page from this kitty and start hissing and swatting at people around 10:30 tonight, when I start my shift. Yeah, the day after Thanksgiving sales aren’t really after Thanksgiving anymore, are they? I’ll just try to keep telling myself that the sooner I start, the sooner I’ll be done with the fat, farting, belching, waddling, complaining animals that will pour through the doors, making it look like there’s been a horrible accident at a sewage treatment plant and a sea of sludge is escaping.
I need a new job…
So happy Thanksgiving, remember what this day is really all about, and wish me luck. While you’re at it, wish the union thugs threatening to disrupt Walmarts on this day luck as well; unlike my store, Walmart carries firearms, and knowing deal-craving shoppers like I do, those mobbed-up communists might be biting off more than they can chew. Wait, what am I saying? Wish the shoppers happy hunting!

Happy Thanksgiving, comrade. As always, I'm thankful to be living in a free country and for the rights that we have as American citizens--or at least the rights we have now. I'm afraid they're not going to be with us for long if the current politcal trends continue as they are.

No, I--along with a lot of people, apparently--did not see it. I read the first John Carter novel, and wouldn’t mind getting my hands on the others.

Yeah. It wasn't too bad, in my opinion. I personally thought it cleared up plotholes that were more than apparent in the novel.
For example, in the novel, Carter just teleports to Mars with no explanation. In the movie, they created it so that there are multiple networks of teleportation weigh stations that link the different planets, utilized by these beings of a high order (created especially for the movie) that Carter happens to stumble across in the movie.

I fortunately only had to work a little more than eight hours, but they were… not a great deal of fun. 
Clair is lovable, in her way. Because she spends most of her time sitting in the corner glaring at us, or growling at the other cats when they come close, it makes her warm moments all the more valuable. Kinda like Connie punching you in the shoulder and saying, “Ya did alright, kid,” now that I think about it!

Indeed, a female cat in those colors is something of a rarity... Most of the time kittens born in the same litter will have females of different colors, even if there are male kittens present with that coat color, from what I've heard.

Clair’s something different, both in coloring and personality. Seriously, if looks could kill, that growling, glaring bag of bones and fangs would have massacred the entire household long ago…

Both Thanksgiving and Black Friday were… survivable, so I shouldn’t complain too much.
Clair is actually a scrawny thing, and as this picture was actually taken last year, the old girl has only lost weight since then. Give Chi-Chi some table scraps for me, okay?

I will! But Chi-Chi is finicky, she gavons when she wants to. Now Baby the black cat we got, she`s the begger! My sister would tell me "You gave Baby something from your plate right?" I`m like "No!" but Babys sitting there licking her snout !

Previous get-togethers involving food have taught me to basically have an entire meal for around five people prepared just for Connie so the rest of us will be left with something to eat, so this one went pretty smoothly.
