Description TV Dinner Addiction

If you haven't seen the video walkthrough yet, check it out below. It is going to blow your mind!!

Upon entering this home the first thing that I noticed was the strong smell of heating oil, probably from the fuel tank that is no longer 100% sealed.  The smell wafts through the home much like a light breeze filling the space with headache inducing fumes.  Upon moving further into the home it became apparent that it has been sitting for a very long time maybe 20 years or more! There are cobwebs covering the corners of every room, there is a calendar in the kitchen from 1993, old magazines from the 80s, VHS tapes and televisions from the 70s or 80s.  The raccoons and squirrels have been living in the attic for years and the ceiling has started to collapse in the living room and holes are now visible in the roof.  Large cracks are forming in the corners as one of the walls is starting to pull away from the rest of the home, this house is now deteriorating at a rapid pace.

This is a hoarder home but not like the ones you often see on TV where the owners often collect items that could still be useful to someone someday, no this home is filled with newspapers and food packaging with a few other odds and ends thrown in for good measure.  Initially I suspected that the owner of this home was a hoarder but hoarder homes (from my experience) often have trails or paths leading through the chaos.  I suspect that this home was lived in by a squatter with hoarding tendencies for a number of years.  The home still has power allowing them to cook their TV dinners, there were numerous electric heater fans, one of which was still on during my second visit, the massive amounts of newspapers in the home are all signs that pointed towards a squatter.

The owner of the home who I will not name, is an avid naturalist that takes part in a few nature oriented organisations.  She had an interest in cinema as well, there were a number of magazines throughout the home, she was also an avid reader judging by the amount of books found throughout the house!  The strange part is that the owner and her partner, although elderly, are still alive and living in a different area of the province.  I have no idea why she has left this home for so long but I suspect there is something that is keeping her from returning.
