Description Moldy Oldies

You can watch the brand new video here!!

There is next to zero information about this home available which is a bit surprising considering there were a few names left throughout the home.  Despite that I will give a quick idea of what I think may have happened here.  I believe that the person who lived in the basement was likely a renter, there was a note on one of the pieces of furniture that said it did not belong to her.  She had a calendar on the wall by the phone, every day was filled with a note about something, whether it was a friend visiting or an appointment or whatever else.  The final entry from about a year ago stated "My last days at this address".  But why did she leave all here stuff there?  There were personal belongings, including jewelry, clothes, a digital camera and even a passport, every space in the basement was just full of things. Maybe she had to move out after the deadline and when she came back the house was already full of mold, maybe she didn't pay her rent and was locked out, we may never know for sure!!

However this is one of my favourite houses visited recently because it was a complete time capsule!!  Built in 1972 and hardly anything had changed in the home since then, both the furniture and decor was almost all from the seventies, it was like stepping back in time 50 years!!  The only problem was the mold, I don't think I have ever seen mold so bad in my entire life!  There was purple, red, pink, white and black mold and surprisingly the home has only been abandoned for a year!  Even with my respirator on I still had to take a couple of breaks outside while documenting this place because the smell was just awful.  Despite that it really did add to the atmosphere of this explore and I am glad I went.

I hope you enjoy the photos as well as the video!!
