Description Howick, Northumberland
This is my favourite coastal bit of Northumberland, it has everything a photographer could need

Its not often i visit the coast at sunset, usually prefer to go there at sunrise but it was a nice evening and light was good!

Yup, bit fiddly, need to use a tripod to get the sharpest shots, im going to have some fun with it tho

Brilliant capture of the wave breaking over the rocks. Love the way the setting sun is illuminating the wave too.

This is also one of my favorite locations, from Rumbling Kern north to Embleton Bay is just superb!

Will have to try and catch up with you sometime for a shoot!

Thanks Iain, i have quite a few shots here of different wave breaks, this one was my favourite out of the bunch, i like the water cascading over the higher ledge, and the low golden sun really helps this image along

I've gotta admit, i tend to prefer the rocky parts rather than the sandy ones, i think thats just down to a bad sand tripod experience

Aye, i'd be up for that, im amazed that im yet to bump into another photographer when im out and about, i thought our coast was fairly well photographed!

I've been there a few times on Holiday and absolutely loved it! I find the beaches completely different to the ones back home

I was born in South Wales and lived there for 14 years, the beaches there didn't compare to the ones i have here now

You would think, but the nice ocean sounds are drowned out by the noise of the seagulls nesting in the cliffs in the background! Thanks for your comment David!!
