I'm real into the Alien franchise right now. Specifically real into Bishop. He's the best. His heart is permanently and always on being of service and helping humans even when it inconveniences or endangers him. Even in the face of unbelievable pain and hopelessness he's more than happy to help you in whatever way he can. It's his purpose. I love cute robots.In case you're curious, yes, Bishop has a first name. According to the behind the scenes information all the characters in Aliens have the same first names of their actors and if the camera got a look at anything Bishop owns, you'd see it's labeled "L. Bishop" ^^ Lance Bishop. For Lance Henrickson.
This is the only gem out of an entire evening of trying to draw Alien art. Lance is tough!

Lance is kind of a neat name for him (not just because of the actor) it makes him sound kind of mighty.
I'm drawing a picture that's kind of like him being created (y'know, test tubes and wires and Matrix kind of stuff) should i make him with hair?

I don't know, I always got the impression they were synthetic humans grown from artificial materials, not really robots. Then Alien3 went and ruined that for me by giving Bishop a 'playback' function.
So I guess the answer is "Sure if it works for the story you're telling"

I would have liked Alien3 a lot better if it wasn't about Ripley. If it was just about aliens eating a penal colony it would have been awesome, because it only really failed when it tried to tie into the larger story. So yeah, I think there should have been an Alien3, but they should have done it differently

Oh HELL YES! This is even better than the first sketch you did of Lance Henriksen! He was easily my favorite part of the Alien franchise. Heck, he even made AvP watchable, as crappy as that film was.

AvP was, like, Oscar worthy compared to Requium. Even Lance coudln't save that stinker

Yeah, this guy was amazing in the movies. He was a clear 'upgrade' compaired to Ian Holm's robot it the first Alien... Ian went bananas. Lance kept his cool.
He also makes an apperance in the first Alien VS Predator. A tiny detail that snuck in is that in one scene when Lex enters his office, he sits by the desk and plays with the pen between his fingers, just like he did in Aliens with the knife.

Lance Henrickson is one of a few actors I can think of that could actually record a CD and talk about nothing but how good it sounds.
The others are Morgan Freeman, Keith David, Steve Blum and possibly Vin Diesel.

I don't know about Vin, but the other three perhaps. Steve Blum kinda cracks me up because he's only got the one voice - it'll sound like either Spike Spiegel or Gale from DDS was talking

Aliens is the best. No question about it. The 3rd was garbage and the 4th was a joke.

The 3rd was a combination of bad screenwriting and pushy producers making last minute decisions. It's taken four views of the thing in short periods of time with different people for me to (almost) forgive it for murdering all my favorite characters and appreciate it for the kind of movie it actually is (long and boring but well shot).
So yeah, I agree with you 100 percent
