i'm a fine art veteran - worked as a professional trad painter for ten years and had a lot of success. ten sollo shows and some awards and international stuff and so forth - my point b eing that i know my shit.
and this - THIS
is FUCKING FANTASTIC
there is so much emotion and power boiling inside each of the moon and crow images that they are almost difficult to look at - were they not so fucking beautiful.
this is unique, powerful and probably quite eternal work.
as in it will outlive you.
just hope someone notices cuz i am no longer in a position to point you out to people.

good luck. watch out for fine art tossers. it's all that they do... you might wanna look up sean tan. he's another who defy's fine art's contemporary mission to suck balls massively.

Wow. That's incredible.
The simplicity creates an assumption of symbolism. Especially as they are so elegantly stood. They seem as characters quite defined. The stance they've taken being so ignorant of each other gives them a positively aloof feel. They have quite different attitudes though. the moon is very austere by it's impassive expression though humanoid form. The shoulders raised as they are and the body stood straight. It's fascinating the effect the red splashed so high up is. It defocusses the body while highlighting the head. Which is further emphasised by the stark light striking it and the halo of rain falling just short and so catching the light more.
The crow is similarly impassive but has a more animalistic posture being hunched up as it is. Although the raised head does not look so regal it doesn't look cowed, rather giving an air of animal ambivalence toward the environment. That just serves to further give it an alien feeling.
The underlighting is affords it a menace along with it's beady eyes and curved beak. That the water in contrast strikes is give it an earthier feeling but it's eyes seem so alert.
Together as characters they, whilst not being absolute opposites complement each other very well. They seem to cover a range of human emotion.
The scene feels very pensive. I feel as though we are waiting for something. The gentle hum of the rain breaks the scene up and the forms in the background loom quite powerfully. Love the green background. Complements the foreground in quite a macabre feel.
Incredible feeling I could watch it for hours.
