LISTEN TO THE SONG OF THE SEA

“Stop and listen to the sound of the waves as they gently break on the shore. Feel the rhythm of the wind as it blows through the open ocean. Hear the melody. Listen to the song of the sea. “

I have been submitting a lot of works lately. Well, boredom kills and I think that creating art is a much better use of my time than killing it in Facebook or some other popular sites in the Internet. This piece is one of the quickest works I have made – there isn’t much painting done and adjusting of colors, unlike the two previous works that I submitted recently.

I always wanted to work with something that relates music to nature. Nature as they say has its own genre of music – from the chirping of birds to the hustling of the wind through the leaves of trees. Nature provides inspiration. Sometimes when we are lost along our way, we commune with nature. We reflect. We seek nature’s help. This piece embodies this concept – I hope it does.

There is something in violins that amuses me and made me incorporate it into this piece. Perhaps maybe as a kid I always dreamed of being able to play the violin one day. I always wanted to attend violin lessons but never had the chance until now. Well, perhaps I’d still be able to fulfill it someday. 
