Description Subversion

It's been a long while now; there's only 140 shots left in this project. Kind of happy, kind of sad. This year has been going by far too quickly that's all I know. I've been obsessing over a lot of architecture for the last few weeks so hopefully it's not getting too repetitive, just doing what I enjoy

Any questions regarding this shot, please fire away and I'll answer when I can. Feedback is also welcome.

I just looked through your entire 365 project. It is very good and very interesting.
IMO your photography has become more deliberate and precise making your shots more composed and interesting. Also, IMO your post processing has gotten better so overall the project has turned out some amazing shots - like this one!!! However, it's clear that you already had a lot of talent/skill before starting this project. I'm not a professional photog, just someone with an opinion I thought I'd share since I enjoyed your hard work.

What are the green things? What is their function, their purpose? Are they surrounding windows? Fascinating shot.

Can you briefly explain the goals or rules of the project? Maybe a link to it? Is it simply a 365 photo a day project? It appears to be more than that but... ??

Good luck with the last 140. I can't wait to see the last 10. Oh btw, the architecture photos are wonderful.

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to have a browse through - that means a lot to me in itself! I'm also glad you like it so far; it's satisfying to hear someones opinion that I'm apparently getting better in the process of doing this and it makes it seem more worthwhile.

The green things are just aesthetic from what I saw, possibly just to keep glare out of the rooms as it's part of a hotel facade that I've walked past loads of times, never took the time to take a shot of it for some reason...

I think there's loads of variations of 365 projects, some are more detailed than others in their goal but the main factor is like you guessed - to take a photo a day for a whole year. Sometimes there's themes and stuff involved but I personally was trying to make mine very eclectic and varied but over time it's become very self-indulgent (at least lately it is). Oh well! If you're considering one, I'd definitely encourage you to try it if you have the patience This site has a little more info:- [link]

Thanks once again for all the feedback and for watching, it's cheered me up a bit! I hope you enjoy my forthcoming work and hope it won't disappoint

My pleasure! I enjoyed myself, your subject matter was cool.

Aesthetics, on an otherwise ugly building - nice touch.

I'd like to try a 365 after I graduate in the spring. I have the patience and the desire it's just I don't think I have enough time to start it now plus go to school, study and work part time. Thanks for the info and the link.

You won't disappoint. Be extraordinary, be awesome, push your limits and let your imagination be free!!
