Update June 2014: went back over this to get it ready for prints - sadly I don't have time to redraw the whole thing but I fixed the bits I had most issues with and did a lot of re-colouring. Ossy's design still needs an overhaul and as that hasn't been finalised yet, I'm keeping this the same as an example of what she looked like in her late adolescence.ยMOTHER OF GOD THIS KILLED ME
I've been working on this for three whole days and I'm so glad it's finally presentable ;n; It's not totally finished but I'm sick of it for now and my laptop keeps crashing so I'll fix it another time.
This is a birthday gift for my partner Joe, who is both a big fan of Ossy and an excellent bass player, so I decided to smoosh the two together! This is also kind of inspired by a live music event I went to over the weekend where I saw Joe play for the first time in about a year and it was just brilliant <3 Ossy doesn't actually play bass, but she loves music and sings and dances all the time, and I have a personal headcanon that if she ever had the patience to learn a musical instrument, she'd play bass. No idea why. Also she doesn't usually dress like that either, but I wanted to have a bit of a punk-rock thing going on. She loves that kind of music. I also have several headcanons about her being a great headbanger and being the one that starts all the moshpits at gigs (she would /destroy/ people in the Wall of Death) which are hilarious to imagine. (If all eleven characters were invited to join a moshpit, who do you think would take part and who would get out alive?)
There are probably a gazillion things wrong with it but the bass in the picture is a Stingray Silverburst, which is what Joe has and it's ever so shiny <3 I would have drawn his Ibanez but it's the most awkward shape ever and I wouldn't know where to start.

Aaah thank you so much! I actually had to leave out a lot of details because I was short on time, I would have done more given the chance! The angle was really tricky to get right, especially with the bass guitar, but I managed to find some excellent references to help me out C: I'm so glad you like it! <3

Awww thanks so much! ;u; The outfit was actually a real issue for me, I spent ages and ages just staring at the paper and not knowing where to start! But I am a sucker for little details, and if I hadn't been in a rush to get it finished on time I would no doubt have added in even more xD

constructive criticism, it is not as detailed as the rest of the picture and i feel you rushed it in order to get to the other parts of the picture.

I can see what you mean, but how would you suggest making the face more detailed then? The face wasn't particularly rushed at all, I must admit, it's no less detailed than any other face I usually draw.ย

i would suggest you research facial structure more. it really up to you how far you wanna go, to me the eyes, eyebrows nose and jaw line look off. once again i am not trying to insult as that would be foolish since i am not the most talented, i just feel you can do better when looking at the rest of the picture and comparing it to the face. the picture is so detail but the face is very simple, it almost doesn't match the rest of the body.
