I would assume it was Kuai as Sub-zero because then Scorpion might look regretful as he promised to not harm the younger Sub-zero(in the original time line I believe). After he found out Bi-han wasn't at fault, for his clans murder, he wanted to sort of redeem himself. Anyway nicely done!
