Description
Short break from my Scotland photos and crafts to spread some Christmas Spirit.
While this could be anything, you'll have to believe me that it is a close-up of a tree covered with chains of light.
Only post work was giving the photo a slightly bluer hue.
The lights were actually brightly white, so I guess they were meant to symbolize winter in general... but who's going to start nit-picking?

ich sag das deshalb so ΓΌberzeugt, weil meine auffassung von kitsch wohl von der anderer leute abweicht. was ich noch fΓΌr vertretbar halte, sehen andere vielleicht schon lange als kitsch an.

of course, this would make an excellent background.
but this is what I'd see if I stood close to the tree and took of my glasses...
to be honest, I just wanted some "glitter" on my photo.
the first picture of that kind I've taken on my way home from work a month or two ago. started out with street lights and car lights. but the results weren't as nice as this one.

only part of a tree. I zoomed in quite a bit.
it was an experiment with my telephoto lens. zoom in and take the blurriest focus possible. the smaller the lights the camera is pointed at, the neater the result (my experience, at least). so the chains of light on the tree were perfect.
