no this was done in Cinema 4D and then i did the postwork in photoshop

It was actually pretty easy... ~1hour of work.

You just model two different abstract shapes
Apply a different material to each of them
Then copy them over and position them right.
Find a nice view angle.
Add a simple light with shadows and put it in a right position.
BAM! Render time.

After that it's all photoshop. Add some filters, blay with colors and you're done
