Description
These are bastards to take a picture of. First of all, once they bloom; they only have seven days to live. They bloom on a random day at the end of March to the beginning of April. My family was lucky enough to go to Japan on the second day of blossoming. It bloomed on my sisters and my birthday. ^_^Second of all, if it rains or the wind is too strong, they get blown away. D: So we were REALLY lucky, they bloomed for 8 days or so; but most of it died by then. ._.

Sakura and 'fall colour' times are my two favorite times of the year in Japan.

You were indeed lucky, it's a great shot. We have bored little trees around here - they blossom nearly the entire spring/summer season with these fuchsia flowers... and I get pretty sick of shooting them. Plus they hurt my eyes.
