Naruto looks good on this picture! The profile is well drawn.
I think you need to make the shadows darker, so it adds depth to the picture. Draw the shape of the shadow and press the pencil harder to fill all the area if you want some kind of cel shading effect. Or try removing pressure as you lift the pencil to get softer shades. Using your finger or a piece of tissue or cotton could help with blending.

First of all, things I like here: the composition, his profile, the lines and where you placed the shades. It's all good :]
On the crit size, I'd say it needs much more contrast. In other words, for your next drawing make the difference between black and white higher. Here the shading is so similar that in some cases it's blending together too much.
Otherwise I think you did a great job, Naru looks very cute : D
