Description
this is one of the japanese mythology series I was working for Uni. They wanted something "actiony".Susanoo and Orohi. Susanoo (God of seas and storms) is mostly known for his legendary winning fight against the yamata-no-orochi.
he is my favorite mythological chracter.
this is painted in adobe photshop starting from a quick sketch i started when i was bored at work

Okay does the face painting have any symbolical meaning to it

oh well it does resemble the traditional Kabuki samurai look, where there is red painted around his eye and only on his upper lip

oh i thought people might think that..but i am not an anime fan so non of my works will be related 
yes Amaterasu is going to be a challenge for me so i might learn to paint cast shadows. I already have her sketched all i need is the painting
