this picture is goregeous. I bet it would be more breath-taking than it already is in person. I was also wondering, is there any way you can make the guy an onyx color with light-ish charcoal highlights?

ah, no help, I can't get any serious... anyways, I agree with what *emtigereyes said up there. The male stands out more than the girl. They'll label you machist and feminist will pursuit you with torches and stuff. It could b fun thoug, hehe. I particulary am not happey with the squares ending of the feet, but that doesn't mean they are wrong. For the rest, there's not really much I can say, the flow of the feathers and the originality of the job are admirable

make the feathers brighter, like a really really pale pink. that way, the woman will stand as darker than her background, and the male will stand as lighter than his background, there you have balance!

this is an old work of mine , like a year old now :sigh: .... i just got my ass up and took a better pic of it , for i dont liek using scanners O_oo , i have been trying to come up with version 2 , keeping the male the same color , change pose by a bit and add more ditail , for the should look human , the purpel wind went sapose 2 stand ou asmuch as i desided to make the purple much much lighter, and i dont know what color to make the female , i already have a pose for her , and im still working on it , but unless im 100% sure that i know exactly what im doing im not going to start painting this , nor the other ideas in my head O_oo thats y latly i have only been drawing things i see rather then things i think up , make sence? lol woah sorry for the long reply if u have any sugestions on how to make the female stand out more plz tell me what color u think i should use considering teh winds would be a loooot more lighter , and would look more like the black ones thenx again for ur comments

I absolutely adore the more geometric shapes of the figures against the more flowing shapes of the feathers...
The detail in this is brilliant. Someone pointed out that the female doesn't stand out as much against the wings - which is true, but if you take the time to properly examine the piece it doesn't disturb quite as much anymore. I think you're mainly losing some of the first impact of the picture.
It's a brilliant piece though.

i love how the ying yang is the wings... that's just cool... never would have thought of that. i think you could have defined the people more... add some hair maybe... it could maybe tie them in more with the wings, but a very nice job anyway. the shading is really cool too.

Very nice work. Love the feathers. Only a minor suggestion... the blue male stands out a great deal against the black wings... think you could do some kind of similar contrast with the female against the white wings? Just for balance, which can be important in a ying-yang piece.

what u should do is hang around artists and watch them work , and see how they do it , dont try ti figur out y but just how , and then try it for urself , just dive in , dont hesitate , cuz if u do too much things get in the wya and then its just all blah Oo ,m i like ur art , and i think u could do grate f u tryed , good luck
