Description
This is a digital painting I made of DC Comic's Flash.I did not use a photo reffrence. This was all from my head.
I was going to make a picture of Flash running but it's been done to death. Then I thought about drawing him in a runners ready stance.
I didnt like how it would hide the costume so I choose something a lot more relaxed.
I even tried to use perspective!
I made this in Photoshop 7 with the paint brush. Then I airbrushed the hi-lites.
I started a few days ago, but I decided to finish it up once I got a new 22 inch LCD Flash screen monitor, and home from Anime Fest.
I adjusted the left leg, & foot to a more natural angle. I also added the logo on his chest.
After completing the picture I saved it as a jpeg file, and adjusted the contrast, and color balance.

your anatomy isn't bad but I think the proportions in relation to the perspective feels unreal. Although the coloring is done very well

Awesome work! You've picked a very challenging angle to get right, but you pulled it off. I really like the shading and toning applied, as it gives a good sense of weight and realism to his form. All that effort you put in paid off!

Thanks! I got this book from the library called Portraits from Life in 29 Steps, by John Howard Sanden.
It's really great book. In it he tell what colors he uses for skin.

This is great. You should do a peice with Deadpool and the Flash- I seriously think Marvel and DC need to get together to do that crossover.
