Jaws: Deep End fan script (2020) Genre: Adventure, Thriller, Drama. Total Runtime 2h 32min (Rated R for strong violence and gore, strong language, body horror)

PREMISE: After the "Amity Incident" in 1973, the oceanographer Matt "Matthew" Hooper traveled around the world, getting his face on the cover of National Geographic in 1975, and eventually won the America's Cup in 1976. He finally settled down after marrying Miss Iceland, Brody family was invited to the wedding. Present day, 2020. Clint Hooper, the son of Matt Hooper, is working as an animal control officer in Verdugo Bay, California. In a small waterfront city. Living the quiet life with his stepfamily and looking after the retired Matt Hooper. When natural disaster hits the waterfront city, Clint has to rise to the occasion and save his family. But something far worse follows after the disaster, a murderous GREAT WHITE SHARK. Hoopers have a fight of the lifetime in their hands.

MAKING OF: For the 45 anniversary of Jaws. The reboot sequel to Jaws and Jaws 2, erasing Jaws 3D and Jaws: The Revenge from the timeline, Halloween (2018) style. Creating a new continuity, overhauling and modernizing the Jaws franchise for the modern audience. Offering you the edgiest Jaws movie ever made xD. Most people don't know this, but Jaws (1975) was the very first movie I ever saw as a kid, and it scared living daylights out of me. But as grown up, it doesn't exactly send shivers down your spine anymore. Because we've seen more violent and sicker entertainment since 75, and Jaws hasn't exactly kept up with the times. So in order to truly resurrect this franchise, we need to modernize the shark, not just the setting, but the violence, the characters, the action, the thrills to meet the modern audience expectation. This is not your grandfather's Jaws. You can't have few guys chasing sharks again. That doesn't pass the bar of a blockbuster these days.

I wasn't going to do nothing with this franchise, but then someone suggested it, you know who you are, and asked about Hooper. I was like, yeah, he also survived Jaws. Matt Hooper actually has more better chance to meet a shark again than the Brodies, he's an Oceanographer after all, but somehow all the films followed Brodies, and they are like Great White Shark magnets. You really have to struggle with suspension of disbelieve after FOURTH shark attack against the Brodies. Of course, Richard Dreyfuss is little bit too old for that role, so we follow his son instead. I was immediately for Mads Mikkelsen, think about it, Hannibal Lecter fighting the Great White Shark, two man eaters going at each other xD How EPIC is that?! And he has that same kind of roughness that Sheriff Brody had. But Mads is Animal Control Officer, who has to face the apex predator of the sea, both our heroes and sharks are out of their comfort zones, chuck to the DEEP END. Oh, and Dafne Keen, Weapon X-23 from Logan, is his daughter. Hannibal Lecter and X-23 fighting the Great White Shark. Now that's EPIC xD

And we need to get out of Amity. Enough is enough. We need to go from the east coast to the west coast. Get a new and fresh environment. And Hoopers also live in a fictional town, this time a waterfront city, called Verdugo Bay. Verdugo means Butcher in Spanish, yes, Hoopers live in Butcher Bay, nice eastern egg for all you Riddick fans xD. And instead shark terrorizing the town, it GOES to town and eat every fucker he gets his jaws on xD. It's like Crawl, but in bigger scale. Like the Jaws movie was inspired by real life shark attacks in 1916, New Jersey. This will be based on the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. Yes, that's how the sharks get to town. And its relentless survival horror from there until the very last minute. And what's best about this, is that Oceanographers study also tectonic plates, so Hoopers will feel right at home here. Themes of modern family, death, man vs. nature, failed school system, immigration and people's reliance in technology will be explored.
