Extremely beautiful. I love how subtle the colors of the flag are used. It makes it an even stronger piece that you didn't have to shout it out in the painting itself what it was suppose to represent.

Wow, I saw this in Spectrum 9 ages ago and it was instantly one of my favourite pics in that book and in general, its such a touching pic! I really like the expressive qualities of the marks you've made and the expression on her face, its so sad, it instantly drew me in! I love the use of colour or lack of (matter of opinion), the various hues of blue create such a beautiful mood and the red butterfly gives such a beautiful sense of hope! This pic has been very inspiring since I first saw it, I long to create something as touching as this pic, that could connect with the viewer on the level this has with me! Seriously you have no idea how much I love this and how much of an inspiration its been to me!
I plan to get a print as soon as possible! I can't believe I found this pic here.......its so strange.

I FOUND IT!!!
Ok, I just have to tell you that this is the picture that brought me to Deviant Art. I first saw it in Spectrum 9 and fell in love with it. I scanned it and put it on my binder and a girl at my school recognized it and told me about Devi art. I have been looking for this picture ever since I got on here and I am soooooo glad I found it.
Finding out what you made it for makes this picture even more special. My Uncle dided In the 9-11 attacks so it is something that is close to home for me. Thank you so much for supporting the victims!!

And here I see its part of the tributes section so all of a sudden it takes on new meaning. this is so much better then my tribute (which isnt even on yet) and its a truly beautiful peice of work.
