Description This blue jay waits and listens for predators before snagging the peanut I had left out for him. With severe -26 degree temperatures I made sure these guys were well fed. Kettleby Ontario Canada.

It must be beautiful to have so many different species. We have blue jays, cardinals, house finch, chickadees, junco, mourning doves, nuthatches, downy woodpeckers and red tailed hawks. Still waiting to get my cedar waxwing shots.

very very very cool! our garden is funny most of the time, because we had bull finches at our old house and we only moved 20 mins away, so the flock moved with us, and now they are like super teritorial towards the big birds like black birds and things, we had a moorhen last year that was only a chick and one of the bull finches took it in, and raised it. yup our garden is...odd xD last summer we had a canadian goose i think hanging out with the swans and their signets xD
