Whoa! This is marvelous (with apologies to Rhialto). I am truly jealous. Would that I could illustrate even just one tenth as well. Or, for that matter, to write one tenth as well as Jack Vance. So, instead, I only just translate.
I met Jack once while serving on the VIE team. Spent a weekend at his house. One of the high points in my life. Before even then I had already purchased translation rights into Esperanto. Called his phone number from public listings and the maestro answered in person! We struck the deal just like that. John Vance continues, most graciously, to recognize that rather informal contract. So now I have a most wonderful lifetime hobby.

Also, I bought the print on canvas, it being so excellent. There's a guy runs a book shop in Kelowna BC who does blow-up prints of old book covers and I'd got some JV's and others from him. They're all in a drawer for now, as will remain the canvas print, until I've got my wife moved down here (she's Canadian, which is why I happened to be in Kelowna). Don't really have that much wall space but I figure I can rotate them out. Your's, I think (at least once it's up) will be exempt from that rota.

I hope you will enjoy it and it earns the spot on your wall!. So your wife is from Canada, I have a friend who lives on Vancouver island who I visit once in a while, a beautiful place. I live near Amsterdam now, although I spent nearly 30 years in tropical countries! I guess thats what I like so much about Jack Vance's books, the sense of wonder and visiting exciting exotic places!
