okay lets try to be a dick
look at the round shape of it. if you look at the bottom right and then you go up to it's leg and keep on going up to its round shape again it seems to be a bit cut in like the round shape doesn't continue if you know what i mean. thats probably not soo good. also i would add some more shadow under the whole character like also where it'S head is to add some more depth. you could also make the contrast between floor and background more visible so your character is standing in a 3d environment. but seriously i am just trying to be a dick because i cant find much wrong about it so i am probably making up stuff that isn't even true.

Word! Thanks a bunch man for letting me know your thoughts, I appreciate it. Agreed with everything you mentioned, especially separating the background from the 'floor' a bit more. I plan to do a bunch of these in my free time, so I'll look at improving on each one.
