I'm posting this to join in with the others who don't like Eclipse.

I will also be doing my best to avoid the site for the duration of the Sounds of Silence. Though I may lapse as checking on the site throughout the day is such a habit.

A few months ago I was given the opportunity to test Eclipse and I tried it both on desktop and mobile for several days then switched back as everything I wanted to do was more difficult.

Just a few days ago I checked on the site one afternoon and while I had the old interface that morning for some reason I had been switched to Eclipse.

I had come to the site to see if I had gotten a note from a friend and while previously I would have a dot on my avatar to indicate that it took me several taps to even find notes before I could look for a new one.

I want to specifically state that I am not opposed to change. I generally enjoy it. When I go to a store and see that the entirety has moved about I like looking for the departments new homes. I have few issues even when core mechanics in games change.

That being said Eclipse feels like, at minimum, a step backwards. deviantART is an ART COMMUNITY site. Under Eclipse the ART portion is harder to deal with both in looking at new art and submitting. The COMMUNITY aspect takes a hit as well with many commonly used features in journals and other communication methods either being more difficult or phased out entirely.
