This was an experiment in drawing The Simpsons in my own style--though I did end up following some of their design details. I could have taken this much father into my own aesthetic, but I think it's a good mix.Related content

This is the second Sideshow Bob picture on my inbox. 
They look really good in your style. It's always nice to see Simpsons characters drawn by different artists who don't stay strictly on-model.

I don't watch this show much anymore, but I still give this show credit for having in one episode, as its two celebrity voices, actor James Caan and the extremely reclusive master author Thomas Pynchon (he makes J.D. Salinger look like a media whore), the latter of whom appeared in a cameo with a paper bag over his head and made a couple of puns on his book titles. One of the coolest semi-regular voices was Kelsey Grammer as Sideshow Bob, and I like your tribute to that series of stories here. There's a happy medium between Groening's style and yours. Nice work.

I love the design of Sideshow Bob, this is perfect.
I never really saw Bart do the obvious in the show, just knock on the psychopath out and to see this is fantastic.

The way I originally envisioned this, it was almost Maggie clobbering Bart. In the end, I thought of the three characters I most wanted to draw--Bart, Homer and Sideshow Bob. Though Mr. Burns would be another I'd love to try my hand at,

Good idea with going with these 3, I think if you had gone with Maggie, people might have thought you weren't trying as hard since they already had that episode where Maggie shot Mr.Burns and Lisa accidentally ended up giving Bart a severe concussion by pushing him down the stairs.
Jay, if you have a choice, never get my type of memory, I remember everything, down to the smallest detail at times and it sucks (I remember nearly every book I've read, every movie I've seen and t.v. show).

I guess I could be a wiseguy and ask "who's Jay?" But I checked the signature instead. Jay is 4PH -- that's the trouble with "user names." Half the time I never know who anyone is.

I try to use my own name wherever possible -- unfortunately, I fucked up logging in the first time over at FA, so I'm known as "Saara" there -- and people tend to mistake it for an alter ego, but it's not -- it's the name of my principle fictional creation, who is *not* me.

I think you put a lot more life into the Simpsons with your awesome drawing style. I just can't get over how cartoony your work is. I know you get that a lot, but I just GO CRAZY over cartoony artwork here on DA. You're one of the best.
I'd like to see how you'd draw the rest of the family.
