I can so relate...
I don't really like using the word "cool" when describing a photo but that is the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this. I like the angle and the tight cropping. His expression and overall look is quite attention-grabbing. I also really like the colors...I presume that you did some cross-processing.

i did some cross processing with this, using color balance. im inspired by some old magz from 1986 i found in my storage room and the picture are more likely like this (the color), which i think so interesting classic oldie color, and i like it
