Imagine God giving you reign over the skiesbeing able to soar to the heavens
and anywhere your wings can take you
but these birds are in the sky
locked up in tiny cages for man's pleasure.
The question is ...

i hardly ever have any interest in photos without people
in them but this is really really powerful.
so tell me the story behind it.
why were all these cages there?
were there birds inside each one?

Yup .. what happens is that these bird lovers would keep a bird at home .. and every sunday they would bring their birds out to the park and hang them up on these posts so that they can *sing* to each other and communicate.
ANd they will sit under them and listen ... its like a social gathering as well ... I really feel so sad for the birds, i mean they are meant to fly free but for man's desire / enjoyment .. they cage them up for their gratification . I feel its really like most people , so were meant to fly .. but lock themselves up in cages just like this.
I see so many people , who have SO MUCH POTENTIAL .. but because they lack confidence and self-worth and self love , lead a life that is only 1% of their destiny God has planned for them.

that is indeed very sad for the birds. perhaps the owners are thinking they
are doing a good and wonderful thing by allowing them to be close to
other birds and sing together? still, it's quite heart-breaking..
yes, you are so right, jaz. we are not caged (most of us anyway)
but yet we imprison ourselves in so many ways.

yesh .. its so sad to hear the birds up there. And the men as just sitting under the cages looking at them . All for man's gratification . I mean we are supposed to have dominance over the earth , but at what costs ?!

Honey, its strange... because when I was in india, I too saw a field filled with poles, just like this picture and I too wanted to take a picture of it.. but the bus stopped too far beyond my sight and I couldn't find it back, but come to think of it, it would be a more graphic picture instead of a picture w such deep message cos its just poles.. plain white poles.. so glad that you've this picture taken, filled the regrets in my heart where I left it in india.

it's such a strange thing, this assemblage of menacing cages just hanging there like that... the object itself is just .... mind-numbing. as for the photo itself; the dark clouds give it a foreboding touch enchancing the intitial shock that i felt finding out that those are not lanterns
