This is honestly my all time favourite cake ever! The guy I created it for was amazing at the rubik's cube and taught me how to do it, so I thought heck he deserves a cake! Spent a great deal of a day, a night, and another consecutive day sitting up and baking, filling, and decorating this. My favourite moment was when I put "Paint it Black" by the Rolling Stones on repeat at 2.30am, and my mum and I sat there literally painting the chocolate ganache with black food colouring, as there was no other way to get such a strong black colour.Related content

I made the cubes by rolling out white fondant and cutting the squares, freezing each piece and then painting it with food colouring. I wasn't adept at colouring the fondant at this point which is why I painted it. I think the colour turned out so strong because I painted the white fondant.

first of all: they're fun! you can give them to people and if you have ten of them you get a super-llama (i just got it!). it's kind of a mascot and otherwise - just stupid fun... and i like it a lot!
