I actually don't find Thane too bad to draw... Especially compared to turians (gah, turian faces drive me nuts trying to get them looking decent).
Anyway, I certainly think you've done an awesome job on Thane here, and even better that he doesn't have any clothes 
For some reason I really like the lamp in the background (it has that atmospheric dim-light light look to it, kinda similar to a beam of light underwater).

Eh, one of the more cultured clients from her youth sponsored a few classes. They believed it would give her a more cultured look. She had to improve later on her own.

I think what throws me about turians is they don't really have the basic human facial structure. ANd they have so many things everywhere. With Drell I can be all human head +fish lips +bug eyes +some fancy lines (though the... gills? exposed neck park is tricky).
At least it gave her a creative outlet of sorts

Drell are to me too symmetrical - I can't deal with that. Turians... draw a sci-fy velociraptor with fancy line and voila: Turian!!
She didn't have much choice in that regard; being owned leans towards doing what you're told, like it or not. But it gave her something to keep her sanity from totally falling into pieces, oh yes.
