I'm sinking into the depths of the sea

The darkness is clawing and grabbing at me

But on the surface, everything seems fine

The sun off the waves is a magnificent shine

Most people pass by the spot without notice

Laughing and singing to life's happy chorus

I know I would love to sing along too

If my throat wasn't full of this water and goo

But I know it's my fault that I'm going to drown

As I keep myself there, with naught but a frown

Believing in some false idea that I

can by myself return to the sky
