It's done!! I've been working on this piece off and on for the past year! I'm excited to finally be able to share it with you
Materials: 11x14 Strathmore Bristol Vellum paper, Prismacolor Premier pencils, odorless mineral spirits, q-tips, erasers

I did purposefully make the eye color a slightly richer shade, but Elijah Wood has gorgeous eyes to start with! It was a joy to draw as the eyes are always my favorite part! Thank you for taking a look and for the kind compliments

Thank you so much Greg! What a wonderful compliment! I used the techniques of burnishing and colored pencil "painting" (using a solvent) on this piece. I added some white acrylicΒ over the colored pencil on the eyes to make the highlights stand out more. That gave his eyes a more glassy, teary look. Hope that answers your question.
