(While the ninjas are at the Jones Farm, Raph sees Leonardo moping in the barn)Raph: Why's Leo in the barn.
Raphael: He's praw'bly mopin' about how we got our shells kicked.
Michelangelo: At least he's not turning into Raph again.
Raphael: (grunts at that)
(Raph and Rainbow Dash go into the Barn, where Leonardo is sitting around, looking at his shattered sword pieces)
Raph: Hey, Leo?
Rainbow Dash: You, ok?
Leonardo: Raph, Rainbow Dash, I'm not in the mood!
Rainbow Dash: Uh, for what, exactly?
Leonardo: I don't need to hear you two, or your Casey, or your Mikey laughing at us, and me, about how we got beat up by your Purple Dragons!
Rainbow Dash: Don't forgot Hun.
Leonardo: And Hun. We almost died! I lost my swords, again! And to top it all off, it made me call everything I know about Bushido and our code of honor, into question........ Maybe you were right. Maybe we are just pretenders.
(Raph and Rainbow Dash look at each other for a moment)
Rainbow Dash: We weren't gonna laugh again. We just wanted to know what you were doing here?
Leonardo: Nothing! Absolutely nothing!
Raph: You know, Leo. Your Raph told me about how you doubted yourself after you got injured by your Shredder's elite guard. Our Leo often doubted himself too. But that's why he had us. To help pick himself up when he's down. And that's just what we're gonna do with you.
Leonardo: Really? Even after the way I called your team dishonorable?
Rainbow Dash: It's gonna take a lot more than you criticizing the way we fight to make us not wanna help you.
Raph: Besides, you can't fight with broken swords, now can you?
(Meanwhile, the CMC are practicing their ninja moves in a three way spar)
Splinter: (watching) Hmm? They are quite skilled for ones so young.
Mikey: Yeah, they're real ninja material!
Raphael: Dhose three? Ninja material? C'mon, they're just kids!
Splinter: And yet, they are twice the age you were when you started, Raphael.
Raphael: Yeah, but look at em, Masta Splinter. Dere ain't no way dey got what it takes tuh be ninjas!
Donnie: You know, I wouldn't underestimate them if I were you, Raphael! They're tougher than they look.
Raphael: Yeah, right. Dey probably couldn't even handle a paper route!
(The CMC overhear that and they feel greatly insulted)
CMC: We could too!
Apple Bloom: Just cause we're kids, don't mean we're helpless!
Sweetie Belle: And even though we're still trainin', we're just as good as you guys! Just like our sisters were when they started out!
Scootaloo: And just so you know, we once fought Fishface and beat him! Not to mention we also defeated our Hun!
Raphael: Yah drove our truck into him. And from what I learned from my countapart, Dis Fishface guy is real tough! Dere's no way yah beat'em in a fight!
Scootaloo: We could probably take you on!
Raphael: (laughs) Yah dree wouldn't stand a chance against me!
Applebloom: Wanna bet?
Scootaloo: If your so sure of yourself, then prove it!
Sweetie Belle: We challenge you to a spar!
Raphael: (scoffs) You're not worth my time! (Walks away)
Applejack: What’s wrong, Raphael? Chicken?
(Raphael stops in his tracks)
Rarity: The great Raphael afraid to loose to our little sisters!
Raphael: I ain't afraid of nothin'! I accept their challenge! Besides, it’s a good opportunity to put these three in their place!
Applejack: (whispers to Apple Bloom) Make me proud, Sugarcube!
Apple Bloom: You got it!
Michelangelo: You wouldn’t happen to have any popcorn, would you, Pinkie?
Pinkie: Here you go, Michelangelo! (Hands him a box of popcorn)
Splinter: Let us see how well you taught them.
Applejack: To be honest, Rarity and I were hesitant at first, for their safety.
Rarity: But we don’t want their potential wasted.
(Scootaloo pushes Raphael to the dojo)
Raphael: Okay Okay! Since you dree are in such a hurry to get owned!
Adagio: I think I'm going to enjoy this.
Karai: That makes two of us.
(The three and their opponent and standing in an open field with only a few trees. Then they begin. Raphael charges at the CMC and they scatter)
Raphael: Hmm? Hrrr! (Get's ambushed and attacked at all sides by the three)
Apple Bloom: Ha!
Sweetie Belle: Ho!
Scootaloo: He!
All: Ya! (They kick Raphael from behind, making him fall flat on his front shell)
Raphael: Ok, yawr good, I'll give yah dat! (Sweetie Belle leaps in for a kick, but Raphael grabs it and throws her) Buut not great!
(Apple Bloom tries to attack him, but he dodges and blocks her before kicking her onto Sweetie Belle)
(Scootaloo attacks him next, but he dodges and kicks her onto the others)
Raphael: (to the group, while motioning the CMC) Wha'd I tell yah. (Leans down to the three girls) Like I said, yah dree awr just kids, yah ain't no ninj-aahhh! (The CMC kick him off his feet and onto his shell, before instantly getting up)
Apple Bloom: And you're a bonehead!
Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo: Yeah!
Master Splinter: Hmm? They baited him. An admitingly clever strategy.
Mikey: Yeah, Fishface fell for that, too.
Raphael: Wait a'minit? Were you dree playin' possum?!
Sweetie Belle: Well, duh.
Apple Bloom: And y'all totally fell for it.
Scootaloo: Cause you're an idiot!
Raphael: I'll show yah idiot! (He trys to attack them but they all dodge and counter him)
Applebloom: What’s the matter, Raphael? Gettin tired?
Raphael: Don’t. Push. It.
Applebloom: Gonna get angry?
(Raphael screams in frustration and attacks Applebloom, only for her to dodge and kick him on the shoulder)
Applejack: I never taught her that one.
Mikey: neither did I.
(Sweetie Belle runs to Raphael and does a jump kick, a spin jump kick, and then rapidly punches him in the gut. Then Scootaloo jumps in and dodges Raphael's fists before she too rapidly strikes him and nails him the face with spinning sideways kicks)
Michelangelo: Whoa! That was a Spinning Tarzan jutsu!
Keno: Yeah, I tought her that.
Rarity: More like a needs to lay off the action cartoons jutsu.
Jones: Either way, I’m enjoying this!
(Raphael then punches Sweetie Belle, then gets spin kicked by Applebloom on the side, punches her, then gets kicked in the shell by Scootaloo)
Sunset Shimmer: Speedy little tykes, aren’t they?
Michelangelo: I’m gonna need a refill of popcorn at this rate.
Master Splinter: impressive teamwork.
Raphael: Dat's it! (Charges at them) Now yah got me mad! (Throws punches and kicks at Apple Bloom, but she blocks and dodges each strike)
Apple Bloom: (while blocking and dodging) You know, our Leo once said somethin' about gettin' mad.
(She slips away and Sweetie Belle takes over)
Sweetie Belle: He said, if you let anger consume you... (leaps up, disappearing from Raphael's sight)
Scootaloo: (appearing behind him) You lose sight of everything!
(Raphael takes a swing at her but she ducks. Then Sweetie Belle flip kicks him, Scootaloo sweeps his legs, and Apple Bloom nails him with a flying kick)
Raphael: Dat teares it! (Kicks the CMC off their feet) When I say "Ah'm puttin' you in yar place" (when the CMC attack again, he punches Apple Bloom, kicks Sweetie Belle, then grabs Scootaloo and flips her into a tree. Then he rushes at her) AH'M PUTTIN' YOU IN YAR PLACE!
(But Scootaloo dodges and Raphael runs face first into the tree)
Scootaloo: One thing you otta know about us, Raphael!
Apple Bloom: We never!
Sweetie Belle: Give up! (She jumps on Scootaloo's shoulders and kicks Raphael in the chest.)
(Then the three surround and each strike Raphael into one another before knocking him out of their ring, dazed)
Apple Bloom: Alright y'all! Togther!
(The CMC charge at the hot headed turtle and jump up)
CMC: Booyakasha!
(They kick Raphael in the gut with a three way drop kick, sending him tumbling backwards and landing flat on his shell)
Raphael: Ow!
Apple Bloom: CMC: one.
Scootaloo: Raphael: zero.
Raphael: (his eye's shoot open in realisation) I LOST?!
Sweetie Belle: Yes. Yes you did.
(Everyone, minus the CMC and Splinter, burst out laughing)
Jones: (still laughing) I can't believe you let three little girls kick yar shell, Raph!
Master Splinter: I believe it.
Raphael: (gets up) No-no-no-no-no! Dis did not just happen!
Donnie: Sorry, Raphael. It just did.
Donatello: (laughing) I never thought the day would come!
Raphael: (runs up to the group) Don't tell nobody! Ah'm beggin' ya! Please! No one will evah let live it down! And I'll nevah be able to live with myself!
Master Splinter: (approachs the CMC) You three fought admirably. But know that you are still in training. One victory will not make you warriors.
CMC: Yes, Master Splinter.
Master Splinter: Though, I must say, you have certainly tought my son a valuable lesson in underestimating your opponent.
(Raph and Rainbow Dash show up)
Raph: Hey guys!
Rainbow: What we miss?
Everyone: (Minus Raphael and Splinter) Nothing.
Raph: Well, Anyway, Come see someone we'd like you to meet.
Rainbow: Allow us to introduce you all to......
Raph/Rainbow: Leonardo! New and Improved!
(Leonardo walks up with newly repaired katanas in hand)
Leonardo: Hey guys.
Michelangelo: Welcome back, Bro!
Raphael: Hopefully, this one is for keeps.
Leonardo: I've been thinking, guys. If we're ever gonna help them stop their Purple Dragons and ours, we're gonna have to learn how to fight like our counterparts here.
Donatello: Fight like them.
Michelangelo: Weren't you against it, cause you said their fighting was dishonorable?
Leonardo: Maybe not as dishonorably as I thought. Besides, I definitely don't want to be on the receiving end of another beat down from their Hun. So, what do you say, guys?
Leo: Well, I suppose we can teach you what we know.
Scootaloo: And Raphael here could definitely use some extra practice.
Raphael: Kids should be seen, not heard!
Leonardo: What are they talking about?
Raphael: Oh, uh, nothin'. You know kids. They say the darndest things. (The CMC whispers something to him) YOUR MIKEY TRAINED YOU GIRLS?! I lost to dree little girls trained by Mikey?! (Pauses after realizing what he just said) And I just blurted that out?
Rainbow Dash: Wait, you three beat Raphael in a spar? Awesome!
Leonardo: Your joking, right?
Rainbow Dash: (at Applejack and Rarity) And you two were skeptical of them having training.
Rarity: We get it! Honestly, Rainbow Dash, you’re as worse as Mikey when it comes to being proven right!
Applejack: Well, that was then. And now, we’re very proud of our sisters. Y’all did great, Sugarcubes.
Mikey: And don't worry about missing spar, I got it all on my T-Phone!
Raphael: Oh no you don't! Gimme dat!
(Mikey tosses his T-Phone to Michelangelo and they both run off laughing)
Raphael: Mikeys! Get back here! Gimme dat phone!

Awesome. I've been thinking about the CMC's getting trained and an idea I've been having is that they ask April, Karai and Shini for it. While the three don't want to betray AJ's and Rarity's trust, they get talked into it by the CMC when they explain their reason. Later, when they get captured, AJ, Rarity and RD scold them for putting everyone in danger and ask them for why they would do that without telling them. The three younger teens reveal that they are jealous of the Rainbooms and Turtles for being heroes since it makes them feel like they aren't worth much and they thought if they (CMC) saved the day for once instead, the others would realize how they were acting.
I got some ideas for dialogue, here it is:
[The CMC ask April, Karai and Shini]
CMC: Pleeeeaaaaaase.
April, Karai and Shini: No.
Apple Bloom: Why?
April: Because we're here to help the girls deal with the rogue magic. We don't want to tick them off by putting you in danger.
Sweetie Belle: But we can help!
Shini: We know, but you don't know what you're getting into and it's dangerous.
Scootaloo: And how's that any different from you?
Karai: Because we have training.
Apple Bloom: And we want to train to so we can help. April wanted to get on the action too when she was startin' off as a ninja.
Shini: Excuse us for a minute. (the three kunoichis walk a bit) That's a good point.
April: That was different.
Karai: Not that big of a difference. You wanted to help the turtles, these three want to help their sisters. It's pretty similar.
April: Are you two forgetting the girls made us promise not to train them.
Shini: Yeah, but they are pretty persistent.
Karai: Besides, you have to think about the worst case scenario.
April: What's worst than the Rainbooms chewing us out for training the girls?
Karai: These girls have potential, and if we don't help them get it, they'll go looking for it somewhere else. Possibly somewhere worst.
(they walk to the crusaders)
April: Before we tell you our answer, I would like to know one thing: Why do you want to be ninjas in the first place so bad?
Apple Bloom: We want to help our sisters.
Sweetie Belle: And something else.
Shini: What is it? (CMC stay quiet)
Karai: If you don't want to tell u s, it's fine. You can tell us when you feel comfortable.
[CMC come clean with the Rainbooms]
Rainbow: Great! That's just great! We're trapped! No weapons! No medallions! No geodes! And no one knows where we are!
Rarity: And I do believe that it won't change even if you keep complaining like that.
Applejack: (turns to CMC) Why y'all didn't listen to us?! We told you this was too dangerous for you and we told you to stay out of it!
Rarity: Whatever made you do this act of foolishness.
Sweetie Belle: You.
AJ, Rarity, RD: Huh?
Apple Bloom: It's just that, you guys always get to be in the spotlight. You're always in the action and have these crazy awesome adventures all the time.
Scootaloo: You're awesome ninjas. You have magic powers. You've been to space and other dimensions. All we get is to hear what you did, be on the sidelines and not allowed to at least back you up.
Sweetie Belle: So we thought that if we took care of this without you we would get our chance to do stuff like you did on our own. But I guess we were wrong.
Applejack: We're sorry. We didn't think we were making you all feel like that.
Apple Bloom: Would it have mattered in the end? It's not like you need us to save the world or anything.
So that's my little thing. An idea I have for the next story is what the effect of the Rainbooms' actions would impact on others around them. It's something that's never really explored and you have to admit, you would feel that way as well if your older relative did that sort of thing and you didn't. It's also interesting as it gives some emotion into the story. But if you still prefer Mikey and Keno to do it, it's cool. But I have an idea about when the Rainbooms find out: Instead of the Rainbooms grounding the CMC, the three ninja vanish on them and ditch them to go after Fishface on their own. It would make sense, especially in the sense that they are teenagers (which I honestly think doesn't get played with enough).

And maybe Karai and Shini could agree that Mikey and Keno training them wasn't such a bad idea.

I'm drawing a picture of the two Leos arguing over the way the 2012 Turtles fight. Since they act a little more like ninjas.
Leonardo has a strong sence of honor, and therefore would greatly disapprove of them pulling dirty moves and tricks. And be especially disapproving of the Rainbooms using their powers when they fight.
If you wanna write quotes about it, that's okay.

the 2003 turtles used magic the same way the rainbooms use magic on the tengu shredder, and most of the time the 2003 turtles wile honourable, never hesitated to do what was necessary, even some dirty tricks, specifically ninja tricks

I've noticed it too. But do you remember a moment in the episode New Friend Old Enemy? Master Splinter showed Leo to "Seek Victory, Not Fairness". The 2012 Turtles acted more like ninjas.
Also 2003 Leo and Mikey didn't use their powers when they were helping the Justice Force fight Nano.

obviously the idea is not to use it willy nilly, I'd imagen the 2003 turtles would hold their own against the rainbooms with their power and the moment they take the pendants and try again they prove that they've become too reliant on magic, it would make more sense that the two groups would learn from each other not just one learning from the other like the 80s turtles
the fairness thing didn't stop 2012 leo trying to use fairness on dark leo, only for dark leo to hit him in the face in the sombre tunnels, hell some other guy pointed that out and attached that clip to it in the comments
In my 2003/2012 crossover that I'm making (episode 1 almost finish) that's exactly what they do, they learn from each other, I'm not low balling any of them
2012 leo learns how dangerous using gilt and anger made 2003 leo a danger to himself and his family "like youse in
" and 2003 leo learns the true bourdon of been the senci to his brothers and the chance that 2003 splinter might die and learning to cope with that eventuality
2003 mikey learns the responsibility of looking after 2012 mikey and been a big brother and dealing with 2012 mikey's ADHD and 2012 mikey learn not to let been right still means you need proof or wining get to his head like with the battle nexus
2003 raph learns to take his younger counterparts more seriously wile 2012 raph learn to ease up "just a little" when it come to his anger
2003 Donnie gets a good expansion of knowledge when examining kraang tech, but both he and 2003 april help 2012 Donnie and april come to terms with who they are and actually open up about their fillings
2003 casey dose help encourage 2012 casey to take up training with the ninjas in marshal arts to help fight crime better but really the two barely learn anything from this trip
with the help of both the 2003 group and the 2012 group karai also learns to come to terms with who she really is and open up more to her brothers (seriously, hardly anyone acknowledges that 2012 karai and the turtles are essential siblings, in and out of universe) and they all work together to kick 2003 karai's butt in getting her out of this respecting her father when he was a monster (although the cyber shredder may help with that)

that doesn't mean I can't say what I feel needs to be said, and remember, these aren't our OC's ether, their already existing and well established characters that have had lives long before you or I got into the fanfic weighting biasness, and we can't just make up unnecessary conflicts just to add tension or make them out of character for the sake of the plot (I'm shore that's not your intention but that how it fells sometimes)

After watching a clip of the 2003 Turtles fight the Purple Dragons, I couldn't help but see your point.
But, there's still a difference. the 2003 Turtles usually hit them once or twice and the dragons would be out, and their reflexes were a little slower, at least in Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers. The 2012 Turtles hit their Purple Dragons more then once, since that series had more choreographed fighting and faster relexes, even when they were 2d.
Which is what I'm going to play off in my next drawing.
As for the two Leos, from what I could research, Leonardo has a strong sense of honor while Leo is just honorable. I know that doesn't really mean anything. But I just really think the 2012 Turtles and Leo act more like Ninjas. And Bushido was never mentioned in that show.
But if you know any differences between the two Leos, that doesn't involve behaviors or maturity or experience, let me know. Because I honestly don't.

to truly understand them you have to embrace all aspects of the 2003 turtles not just FF and BTTS, to me they seemed just as acrobatic and sharp as they ever were and it was the purple dragons who were getting better due to better training and tech in the 2003 wile in the 2012 and even the fic their still just run of the mill street thugs

It's just that people said Leo was being hypocritical about telling Dark Leo that he was being dishonorable. And the shown clip of Seek Victory Not Fairness. It made me think I was comparing him too much to 2003 Leo.

I was not trying to defeat you, I want to help you, there are differences but it's mostly on how they conduct themselves, 2003 leo is more a natural leader, he is more serious but he's will to listen, like the time he believed 2003 mikey about letherhead and he "usually" is more cactuses about the lone wolf thing wile 2012 Leo doesn't quite come into his own until after 2012 splinter gave him that lecture on been a leader is not about been respected, and his lone wolf stuff is when he gets emotional or thinking keeping secrets will protect his family when all the time they blow up in his face and someone gets hurt

Well, I reread the comment that said Leo was being hypocritical and it said this: "To which I would argue that Leo should know the difference between honor and fairness, so calling out his clone is just hypocritical, and where is the honor in being a hypocrite?"
So maybe that's another difference: 2012 Leo knows the difference. I don't think 2003 Leonardo quite understands that. And after trying to research the difference between honor and fairness and finding nothing, I would think that would make sense. At least that's what I think.

Splinter: Yes. They are quite the quick studdies.
O'neil: (chuckles) Master Splinter said they learned faster than you guys did.
Donatello: For real?

Sweetie Belle: We know how to notice some details.
Scootaloo: It's kind of what we do.
Splinter: Yes, young ones. As I said, if you practice and be patient, you will one day show them what you are truly capable of.
