Description
CRACK. That was the sound wood makes after being bombarded with powerful hydro pumps and earthquakes 24/7 for the past few weeks. A lovely sound, isn't it? It's just too bad this was causing the log of the rope wall to snap in half. And not just your average jungle gym fun-for-all rope wall, oh nonono. This baby was 40 feet high because they didn't want it to be easy for soldiers. Not a snow's chance in hell.
Miguel wished it wasn't him at the top of this crumbling mishap, but he was as well as many others. The log splits in half, barely hanging on together by a few splinters. If nothing was done, people were gonna end up with a lot of broken bones....or worse. Suddenly, a little seed lands on the split wood and vines burst out, twisting around it's prey like a hungry python.
Sitting on Miguel's was Sky-Bait. The cottonee loathed water. It made him soggy and unable to float. These past weeks Miguel had been kind enough to be his meat shield against any and all hydro pumps that had come their way. Sky-Bait will return the favor. Just this once.
Except leech seed wasn't wasn't keeping the wall together as the little pokemon had hoped. The vines were were too loose....Well, it was nice knowing you- A different set of vines wrap around the split wood. A little bellsprout joins in on the rescue, his partner giving him commands. Others join in. An ekans pushes against the bending beam. A snivy protects the brittle wood from another does of hydro pump. A tentacool starts up an ice beam to freeze the log together. The psychic induced pokemon use their powers to lift some pressure from the tilted walls, etc.
In the end, everyone got off before the wall collapsed. Today had been a good day.

Guess who has a new arch enemy? I do! And it's called rope. May Miguel never have to climb another rope wall in his life again or so help me-
I seriously do hope I didn't mess up any of these cameos because I usually do. So crossing my fingers here peoples. I wanted to show the glory that is teamwork when facing worse things than scary-ass swamperts.....like a 40ft high rope wall falling to its doom and breaking every bone in your body because 9 ft tall rope walls are for children! So I had to risk other people's lives, kay?! OKAY!

I am rendered stupid by the sheer amount of DETAIL you put into this. Oh my goodness, everything just pops - especially the rope. It seems to have an oil painting feel to it because of the light shadow contrast.... How long did this take you to complete? Like I said, I'm rendered stupid - my brain cannot... handle...

Oil painting, you say? That sounds extremely cool~ And ack, I don't even remember how long this took me. I do remember pushing back a lot of sleep to get it done though, haha. I'm just glad I finished it before the deadline. :'D

The story is REALLY interesting too! I hadn't thought about what the impact of earthquake and hydropump would have done to the climbing frame!

Ahhhh I love how transparent Orpheus is! *A* The details of the rope are fantastic too, man I remember doing some bits of rope in my entries and goodness I wanted to choke myself with it. Mostly at the knots, but yours look so realistic, I even adore the bits of splinters you've put in the wood.

The amount of sheer detail in this piece is beyond astounding----there's an insane amount of effort put into each individual stroke that I can see, and I tip my hat off to you.
I'm also in love with the theme you chose to portray---everyone else is thinking of running for their bloody lives, thiese rag-tag misfits knows they have a much better chance at surviving Sarge's onslaught if they band up. Teamwork. You lot are doing right.
