Description Some more fruits of my überartblock This is how I pictured Valura from Weis & Hickman's Well of Darkness, Volume one of the Sovereign Stone trilogy. If anyone has even read the book Valura is an elf seduced by the evil human prince Dagnarus. I don't want to reveal more, in case someone wants to read the book

Made with watercolors (again), not too pleased with it. She looks like a man or at least a draq queen and I totally messed up the bg Tried to do something exciting to her hair, but it just ended up looking very greasy, so... :/ Yeah. But I'm ok with the folds

Oh man, I have finally found someone who has done some fanart for that book series! It is beautiful, and I am sure true to her description (I haven't read the book in ages! I'll have to get myself back up-to-speed!), and the coloration is perfect. In fact, I kind of imagined things all cool and watercolor-y as I read, it gives the fantasy vibe ^_^

she looks like a yuki-onna (roughly translated as; snow-woman...they're eastern mythical beings with ice-powers) she has a bit of a melancholy-look on her face and it looks like she's trying to protect herself from something (besides the cold from only wearing a sheet ) or as though she is carrying a burden...the way her hair falls sort of enhances that mood (and it doesn't look greasy!!! *pokes you*...her hair kinda reminds me of Winnowill's) I love the soft shadings and the smooth drapery though the overall ambiance (and color) of this is a bit cold, I like the small touches of warmth such as the sun peaking from behind the drapes, the drapes themselves and her lips and jewelry ^^ and she definitely looks like a she neee~ here you go making pretty watercolor-paintings and that during an art-block *envy* ...I can't put a thing to paper when I have an art-block btw, for the folds *nodnod* lovely art Jeemka-chan ^^ and nothing wrong with working with watercolors again...you work well with them -z

...if I got a penny (well we don't really use pennies here, but it's the thought that counts) for every time I see something I don't like in my drawings...then I'd have lots of them already (enough for a downpayment on my comp)

I havent gotten a chance to read those yet, but oooh I will!

I dont really think she looks masquline at all! Your choices of color and handling of the watercolor is really really nice! The only thing I see technically is the arms, they dont look like they have structure, like bendi arms or something. But the rest of her like her torso and legs look great.

This is beautiful! I love how smooth the colors and texture are - especially the drape in the background that just seems to pull the whole piece together. +_+

Thanks again nikki I sketched setsuna yesterday, and came up with what I thought was good, and when I had added some watercolors for a base, I noticed that her legs were way too short She's a really hard char to draw, 'cos she needs to look sweet and maternal But I think I'll be finished with it today, so you can choose, or then you may not be able to, 'cos all the others are crap Does that make any sense?

I did another one just now, and I inked it. I can't believe how stupid I can be :duh: Inking for me is risky business 'cos I've inked only three pics so far (none of them are in DA yet ), but gladly it worked out pretty good Now I gotta color it, but I dunno if I have the guts to do it. I'm too scared that I'll ruin it again Gotta go try Whaaaa!! You sent it already You are fast!
