Description
(A/N: Coulrophobia = a fear of clowns.)
“I hate you Levi.”
“You’re the one who suggested this. Now suck it up and deal with the consequences of your stupid decision.”
~~~flashback time~~~
“(first) come here.” Levi was sitting in the bedroom of the small, extra clean apartment you two shared. It was a quiet friday night, just before All Hallows’ Eve, your favorite time of the year. You loved all things scary: ghost stories, horror movies, zombie apocalypses, murder mysteries, everything! But there was one thing you just couldn’t handle...
You entered the bedroom and found it empty. You boyfriend was nowhere in site.
You stood in the middle of your room in front of the bed and looked around. “Levi where are you?”
“Boo!” Two strong hands grips your shoulders and spun you around. At the mere site of the figure, you shrieked at the top of your lungs.
A big red nose.
Damn him. Damn him to hell! All week Levi had been trying to find out what scared you, and tonight he finally got you. Clowns. Those things. Those monsters. Those god forsaken creatures of the night. Ever since you were a child you had been deathly afraid of clowns, especially after watching a killer clown movie in the middle of the night. God, how could no one else fear them? A big red nose, puffy rainbow afro hair, colorful polka dots everywhere. They had painted on smiles for god sakes!! How is that not terrifying?! So deep in your train of though, you hadn’t noticed Levi laughing at you in the corner.
“You BASTARD.” You ran at him full throttle, only for him to catch you, spin you around, and throw you on the bed. “Ow. You jerk.” You rubbed your little nose that hit the firm bed.
“Serves you right for charging at me.” Levi examined you and thought again of the face you made when he scared you. “But it was totally worth it, getting to see you so scared like that.” A smirk tugged at the end of his lips.
“I was not scared. You just startled me is all,” you said in defense, folding your arms over your chest and puffing out your cheeks.
“Oh, no. I’ve seen you ‘startled’ and it’s nothing like what that was just now. You’re scared of clowns, aren’t you (first)?”
You blushed from embarrassment. You’d rather die than let your short, sadistic boyfriend know that. Think of the damage he could do with that kind of information!
“I am not.”
“You are too.”
“No I’m not!”
“Yes you are.” Fed up with arguing like children, Levi left the room and went into the kitchen to make himself some tea, you followed quickly behind.
“No I’m not! And I’ll prove it too!”
He raised an eyebrow. “Oh? And how are you going to do that?”
“Tomorrow’s Halloween. Let’s go to that haunted house outside of town. Then I prove it to you that I’m not scared of any stupid clowns.” You crossed your arms again, this time triumphantly.
Levi found the perfect opportunity. “Alright. But how about we make a deal. If you scream, you have to be my slave for a week. And if you don’t, I’ll be your slave. How about that?”
You raised your nose in the air, confident of your success. “Hmp. Fine.”
Levi wore an evil grin. “Perfect.”
~~~Back to the present yay~~~
You held Levi’s hand tight, afraid of what could be around the corner. It was so dark you could barely see your hand in front of your face, so you were constantly bracing yourself for whatever awaited. Not only were there clowns at this haunted house, there were people dressed as murderers, monster, and ghosts. They may not have terrified you to death, but they were still creepy.
“Could you loosen the grip. I don’t wanna break my hand because you’re too damn stubborn to admit you’re scared.”
“I’m not scared!” You punched his arm, making him let go of your hand.
“You little brat. That hurt,” he said rubbing his arm slowly.
“Yeah well serves you right for being a jerk.”
“Fine. If I’m such a jerk then I guess I’m not gonna hold your hand anymore.” You quieted and withdrew a little. Seeing this, Levi sighed and started walking. “Come on.” He stretched his arm back for you which you obediently took with pleasure, soon caught up with him.
“Do you like clowns~” A voice called from behind you. You tensed up and tightened your grip on Levi’s hand. Slowly, you turned around to find a large man in a clown costume covered in blood just inches away from your face. Remembering the bet you made, you quickly covered you mouth before you could scream.
'Tch. Not good enough.'
The man laughed maniacally as he turned around and walked away into the darkness.
“Oi, don’t forget to breathe stupid. I can’t have you dying on me.”
Hearing his words, you exhaled loudly. “Why was he so close? And why didn’t I notice him?!”
“Because you’re useless. Now come on, let’s get this over with.” He took your hand and dragged you along.
The house was filled with horrors. Fake blood and guts spilled all over the floor, men slamming bricks on the walls, psychotic women in cages screaming at the sight of you, even children dressed as creepy porcelain dolls. With each new scene you drew closer and closer to Levi.
“Don’t piss yourself shortstack.”
“I’m not short.”
“Yes you are. You’re shorter than me.”
You stood in front of him. “Yeah but only by like a centimeter!”
“Still short.”
“Fight me.”
“Oh, I don’t think it’s me you want to be fighting.”
“What do you mean?” Levi silently pointed behind you. You looked back.
Oh god. OH GOD. OHGODOHGODOHGODOHGODOHGOD. It was him. It was a clown. Oh, but not just any clown, no. It was that clown. The one that made you like this. That killer clown from the late night movie you watched as a kid that scarred you for life, was now standing inches away. Puffy red hair, a big red nose, colorful polka dot clothing, painted white skin with a painted on smile. And of course, the worst part of all. His sharp, dagger teeth was now visible as he lunged at you.
Your knees gave out and you quickly squatted as you covered your face and screamed at the top of your lungs. “AHHHH!”
The deranged clown got down in your face. “What’s wrong girlie? Are you... Scared?!” He said as he lunged at you again, causing you to scream once more as little pools of tears started to form in your eyes.
“AHH! LEVI!”
Happy with your response the man’s psychotic laughter faded away with him.
Levi chuckled at your shivering figure. “See. I told you you were were scared.” You didn’t reply, still sobbing quietly from what just happened. He sighed, “Fine. I guess I’ll have to take care of you.” He picked you up bridal style and continued walking.
A blush came across your face. “L-Levi, what are you doing? This is embarrassing...”
“Well I wouldn’t have to do this if you weren’t so scared to walk.”
You wrapped your arms around him and placed your head in the crook of his neck. “Sorry...”
“It’s fine.”
Soon you reached the exit. However, when you got out you were met by applause.
“Aw how cute.”
“I told you we could get her.”
“I’m surprised she lasted that long.”
You looked around confused. All the people from the house were now outside starring at you. “Levi... What’s going on?”
You short boyfriend placed you down gently. “I won the bet. That’s what.”
“W-what?”
“Your boyfriend here asked us if we could scare you-”
“So we decided to help him out.”
“He even brought a costume for us to where. You know, the one with the red hair and teeth.”
Your eyes widened and you swirled around to look at Levi. “How... How did you know I was scared of clowns? Of that clown?”
He smirked and crossed his arms. “Hanji told me this morning. She said you saw a clown movie when you were a kid and were scared of them ever since.” He chuckled, “though I’m surprised you didn’t pass out.”
Hanji. That... Ohhh she gonna get it. How could she do that to you? You were best friends, were you not? 'Well besties no more!' you thought.
“You asshole! You cheated!”
“No one said we couldn’t get help. There were no rules remember.”
You distanced yourself from him and crossed your arms, embarrassed that now everyone knew your silly fear of clowns.
“(first).” Levi went behind you wrapped his strong arms around your waist drawing you close. “(first) I’m not trying to do this to embarrass you. Everyone has fears. I just want you to know that I’m here to protect you when you get scared.”
“Yeah well I bet your not scared of anything,” you pouted.
He sighed. “Of course I am. I’m afraid of a lot of things.”
“...Like...?”
“...”
“See. You don’t get scared. You just did this so you can make fun of me and-”
“I’m afraid of losing you.”
You slowly turned around to face him.
“I’m afraid of losing you (first). I’m always scared that something is going to happen that won’t let us be together, and it terrifies me. That’s why I want you to know that no matter what I’ll always be here for you, whether you’re scared or not.”
Small tears started to form in your eyes. You hugged him tight and buried your face in his neck. “Oh Levi.” He returned the hug just as strong, if not, stronger.
“Awwww~ Isn’t that precious.”
“See Connie, any boy can be romantic if he tried.”
“Cool it Sasha. Not in front of everyone.”
A faint blush painted Levi’s cheeks. You chuckled, blushing too, and gave him a peck on the cheek.
“Thanks guys. I really owe you one. Come on, let’s go home.” He took your hand in his and walked back to his car. “Oh and I hope you don’t expect to get out of being my slave for a week (first).”
You laughed nervously. “Ehehehe. Actually I was kind of hoping you had forgotten about it already.”
He smirked. “You wish.”
~~~EXTENDED ENDING~~~
“Alright. Come on out (first).”
“No way. I am not wearing this...”
“I won the bet. Now get you ass out here before I drag you out myself.” Levi sat on the couch in the living room your of your small apartment. He heard the bedroom door creak open and straightened himself up.
And there you were, dressed in a skimpy french maid outfit. The skirt was too high, the neck line was too low, the stockings were fishnet. He even included a feather duster.
You were beet red. “Levi... This is way too short...” you said trying to pull the dress down while not exposing too much of you upper body.
Levi smirked at your flustered face. He walk up to you until your faces were inches apart. Of course you looked away.
He turned your head to face him once again with his thumb and index finger on your chin. “You look great in that. Maybe we should make a bet more often,” he said as he tried to pull up the hem of your skirt.
“Levi!” You blushed harder as you smacked his hand away.
He chuckled. “Pink, strawberry, and lacy. How cute.”
Embarrassed beyond belief, you tried to punched him, but he caught your hand and pulled you in close with his other arm.
“Now... What to do with my little slave...”
