Description I went to Egypt. I saw heiroglyphs, falcons, leopards, and ancient Egyptian temple gryphons*. I came home, downloaded my vacation photos, and doodled. This was the result.

Horus here is an Egyptian falcon-leopard morph. I'm well aware said falcons' plumage is significantly less colorful than the ancients liked to portray, but I like how colorful they are in said portrayals, so I went with that color scheme, eye markings and all. :3

Micron inks and Prismacolor markers/pencils on drawing paper. I can't decide whether or not to die-cut this and place it against a nifty Egyptian-y background (like, say, a print of one of my temple photos, or the heiroglyph-laden museum artbag, or even a water-colored sand-patterned scrapbook sheet or something).

* No, seriously. They kind of look like flycatcher-domestic cat morphs. I have photographic proof.

Thank you!

I'm itching to try another like him - such a colorful creature! - when I get the chance. He's got character, and I don't get the opportunity to use such bright colors nearly as often as I'd like... ^_^
