Maybe it doesn't pop like you hoped, but it's very soothing to look at Reminds of the illustrations in children's books; I can imagine this illustrating a story about a young fox wandering into an enchanted forest and looking around in amazement at the magical world. Or something like that XD

Very nice usage of green for atmosphere. I really love the backgrounds you create. Do you get these things from real life references cause they are very good. I wish I had a forest near my house so I could draw something this amazing. The colors are accurate for the lighting of the area. It also so limited in how many colors you used that I love it. It doesn't help that green is my favorite color.

Thanks nah i didn't use any reference for this (probably should have) but i deliberately kept the colour palette limited to greens, and just a reddy brown for the fox so he would stand out, and a few brown leaves etc so that he fit in more with his environment

Yeah you have to study stuff to know how to draw it really or you have no reference to work from. I'd been studying light and colour theory before i painted this
