Pretty small image...anyways I've always wanted to revamp Niju's design, and play with it a bit. On the left is Niju's real design, and a official screenshot of him in the second Balto sequel, "Wolf Quest". On the right is my modified version of the screenshot.

I tried to make him look more like a canine, since well...he kind of looked feline in the movie (then again that's my own opinion)
Major changes:
-de-saturated his fur colors to where it didn't look so...blue...
-slim down his fur, because my God, there was a lot of it.
-some anatomy fixes (chin size, nose shape, ear shape and size, had rounded out his eyes, muzzle shape and size, and finally shoulders)
-added facial muscles (eyebrows, and lips)
-Finally changed the color of his ears as well as adding dark tips.

I'm pretty happy with this, and I will use this every time I render Niju.

This is much better! It was said that Niju is just based off of Steele from the first movie which to me seems so lazy

He looks so much better. I honestly think his original look is hideous. Not even bad guy hideous. Just...ugly.

It's understandable if the developers, were under a tight budget, however it's if they didn't really take the time to study canine anatomy, I'm wondering if they had to meet a deadline. Also thank you so much!

Stumbled across this..
But as an person easily overcomed by nostalgia I like the official version more because of that.
But gotta say great drawing, you clearly managed to give him a more canine-like look
