LOL I was wondering if anyone would catch on to that! XD I struggled with that really. I knew she should be awake but on the other hand, I wanted the juxtaposition between the irritated monster and the serene happy princess, so that won out. Congrats on figuring that one out!!

Seriously, fabulous idea and very humorously executed! I love the character design of your monster, and the variety of colours you've used. Her placid expression is a very funny contrast to the monster's struggles, haha!

Thank you!! This was inspired by the fable of The Princess and the Pea, where a young girl showed up at a castle saying she was a wayward princess needing shelter. There happened to be a prince needing a bride there but they did not know if she was telling the truth so they would test her. They knew that a princess had very sensitive skin so they put a pea under her mattress to see if she would feel it and she did. They kept adding mattresses trying to make her comfortable but she would feel the pea every time, this went on until the mattresses reached the ceiling and it was longer night time and they were wed that morning when she could not think straight to say no. LOL I added that last part. XD I thought this story would really frustrate a monster under the bed to no end!
